A Slightly demanding walk due to an initial climb form Hawswater Reservoir onto the old corpse road. Following this path until swindale head is reached. Take the path from here leading past mosedale cottage to a point below steel rig where it joins a main bridal way, take this well defined track through gatescarth pass back to Hawswater yet another steep climb ending in a drop down to the reservoir.
